I actually grew something!!!! AND, it's something pretty!!!! I have a black thumb - I'll be the first one to admit it. So, last fall when I got some free Iris bulbs I thought, "Hey, they're free. If I completely kill them, I won't be out much." I forgot that I'd have to buy some pots and soil to plant them in, but...I didn't completely kill them! Now, the sad thing is that I planted around 75 bulbs, and only one has actually bloomed, but I think this is major progress, and I have hope that more will bloom soon. In the meantime, this one beautiful little Iris shines in the middle of my not-so-beautiful backyard. I'm hoping to work on the yard soon - maybe get some guys from the ministry to do some of the grunt work - and then I can sit outside and enjoy my pretty little Iris. Happy spring, everyone!

Spring is here!
