Thank you to everyone who prayed. Even though there were four days of riots, the campus did not shut down. Even though there was not a compromise between the government and the lecturers, the lecturers decided to come back and teach. So, the riots have stopped, the students are beginning classes again today, and it is safe for us to return to our ministry in the dorms. I've already got appointments with three girls in the next three days! It is crazy to me that this whole thing happened, and now things are just back to normal, though there are new holes in the walls of the dorms from the tear gas, and some students are having problems breathing from inhaling so much of the gas. I want to reassure everyone that I was completely safe the whole time; Chapo took care of us, and didn't allow us to put ourselves in risky situations.
So, that's the big news. I'm excited to get to work with the students again. We had about three days where we didn't get to spend any time with them, and although it gave me a great chance to get time with God and work on my workshop (on Scripture memory, not prayer), I'm definitely looking forward to connecting with women.
We had some great team time this morning; I love being with these other five EDGErs. They are so encouraging, and we have a ton of fun together. We are studying Philippians while we're here, and it's so good to get insights from my friends. They've definitely been a blessing to me.
So, I know it's a short post, but I'm running out of time. No parting thoughts for this post, but I'm sure there will be more for the next one.
