I got to hang out with my mom. I enjoying hanging out with my mom.
I got to meet one of my best friend's sons for the first time. It's crazy to think of my childhood friends as parents, but they've got the coolest kids. Shout out to Leo, Jen, Viv and baby Jake.
We threw a housewarming party. I recommend it - it's the perfect motivation to get all those little projects around the house done.
I went to the midnight showing of "Where the Wild Things Are." It was creatively done, and did a great job of hearkening back to the book, but I've gotta say it wasn't my favorite movie. In fact, I don't actually think I could recommend it. And I definitely don't think it was worth the midnight showing except for the fact that I got to hang with some sweet friends. Have you noticed how friends can make all the difference?
I went surfing. Well, actually, I went into the ocean on a surfboard. I'm pretty sure I spent more time off the board than on it. I'm hoping to improve this over time. If I do, I will let you know.
November promises to have more to blog about - I've got some trips planned, and there are always fun things to say about the holidays. We'll see how it goes...
