So, yesterday was Ann and Berry's one month anniversary (how did that happen?!), and I think it's fitting that I'd commemorate the occasion with the final batch of pictures from their wedding. Here we go...

This is my favorite picture that Callie (
http://www.achorandeden.com/) took. I don't know why. I just think it's right out of a wedding magazine or something. Berry looks like a strong warrior of a man, and Ann looks beautifully enchanting at his side. Love it, love it.
The church they got married in was quite pretty in and of itself, so we didn't do much to decorate. We did, however, lay out a rose petal aisle.

The ceremony went quite well (even if some of the music was played at the wrong time and the entire wedding party was suffering from the heat), and I thought Dave did a great job of charging Berry and Ann in their roles as husband and wife. Ann actually played the piano and sang (yes, at her own wedding), and both fathers had a passage to read, which I thought was really special. In all, the gauge of a successful wedding is: did the couple end up married at the end of it? Why yes, yes they did. And they sealed it with a kiss. :)

After the ceremony, it was time for pictures. Lots of pictures. I love this one of Berry and his mom.

Now he's got a new number one woman in his life.

Their one specific request? A picture of them in the back of his truck. Note that she's actually wearing cowgirl boots. Never in a million years would I have thought that Ann would marry a country boy, walk down the aisle to a recessional song by Travis
Tritt, and want a picture of her and her husband in the back of a truck while she wears cowgirl boots. The things love will do to you. :)

Coronado has some great photo opportunities. Like, how about one looking out over the bay with the San Diego skyline in the background?

Gotta love the difference between men and women: the women shield their eyes, while the men draw their swords...

How special is this? Our friend, Nate, came out from Pennsylvania for the wedding, even though he himself was getting married
the very next weekend. If you've been reading my blog for some time, you might remember that Nate was part of my team in Zambia. Well, he's also like a brother to Ann, and it was so meaningful for her to have him there.

Well, we made our way to the reception, where we had good food and great conversation. It was a beautiful evening, and it was so fun to sit out on the patio overlooking the bay. Berry's brother gave a great toast. He shared a story from when they were young, and they decided to try to catch a fish in a river using a slingshot. Apparently, Berry took aim, fired, and hit his brother directly in the big toe. The toast concluded with the fact that "Berry's marksmanship has improved greatly, and he's got a great catch in Ann." How sweet is that?

Caitlin also gave a great toast, reading part of a letter that Ann had written to her when they were really young (like 10 years old, or something). Ann told Caitlin to wait to get into a relationship with a boy because, "boys get cuter when they get older."

All in all, it was a wonderful evening. I loved getting to share in such a special day, and it was so fun to celebrate with all my
roomies. I think this might just be the first picture we've taken with all five of us, and I think it's a keeper, if I do say so myself. :)

Ann and Berry took off to the top-secret location of...the Hotel Del.

With their departure, family and friends reluctantly said farewell for the evening. But before everyone had left, there was an incredible fireworks display right over the bay. It was awesome. The funny thing was that less than a week before the wedding, Berry asked me if there was any way we could do a fireworks show over the bay as part of their reception. He asked me with a straight face, but I knew there was no way he was serious. He wasn't. He just wanted to see if he could stress me out. He didn't, because I didn't think twice about it. But I think it just goes to show how good I am: I arranged a fireworks display without even knowing it. :) It's just the kind of coordinator I am...
