Meeting with Jesus

The summit has been so fun. Each summit we have progressively has more free time built in, and I'm loving it. There's been more time to connect deeply with individuals and get good times with God.

This morning I spent some extended time praying for our team next year. I am so excited for two new women to serve alongside, and am thrilled that Dustin and Steven are sticking around. I might be slightly biased, but I think that our team is going to be the dream team of the '07 EDGE class. And, who can forget Lori Bowman? I can't. I had to say goodbye for the summer to her this morning, and it was hard to think that I won't be seeing her again until August. That's one hard thing about this job; it's seasonal, so the people with whom you share life so deeply for 9 months, you end up not seeing for 3 straight. I'm already missing the girls from my bible study, and though I saw my staff team for the last time just on Monday, I'm missing them as well.

Anyway, I feel like I've gotten some good chances to pray and spend time in the Word, and I think it is for that very reason that I'm not completely burned out. It's not because I haven't been around people and it's not because I've been getting good sleep. I think Jesus is just sustaining me.
