Nav Staff life

We had a great staff retreat last weekend, where we spent time planning, praying and playing before the semester starts. I am on the coolest staff team in the nation. Sure, that's a bold statement, but I assure you, there's no bias behind it at all. Just look at this picture and try to tell me you don't think we're the coolest.

Since getting back on Sunday, we've been in a whirlwind of activity, doing all those things which must be done to start the year off well. On Wednesday we began recruiting new students through a booth we have out on the mall. Papa Johns has hooked us up with a sweet deal - a free pizza every week for the entire semester for one lucky student. So, we do a guess-how-many-candies-are-in-the-jar game, and have a survey, and that's how we meet a lot of people initially. We also have dinner on campus every night - another chance to meet students - and we have a team of staff and students who've come up with some sweet activities each night, just to encourage friendly relations. Tonight is karaoke in the dorms...pretty sweet if you ask me. Still, after three long days in the sun and three long nights in the dorms, I'm wondering how I'm going to do this for seven more days in a row. Ah, the life of Nav staff at the beginning of the school year...
