I had my first Bible study with the junior girls tonight, and it was so good to reconnect with them, and hear how God worked in their lives this summer. I prayed throughout the summer that each of the girls would hear God's voice and feel His presence, and it was neat to have them recount stories of how He faithfully answered that prayer.
After Bible study, Christy and I went to follow up a few more surveys. After one unsuccessful call, we called a girl on the fourth floor of Coronado. In the course of the conversation, we found out that a girl committed suicide yesterday on that very hall. We were able to spend some time with the girl we had called, processed a little bit of the tragedy, and got to pray with her. Please pray with me that God would be glorified in the midst of this time; that the students would begin to seek Him, and that He would choose to be found by them. Pray also that God would direct me,Christy, and the other Navs in how best to reach out to the students we have met and know in the dorm. I am so grateful that God is sovereign, even though I don't fully understand it!

i will be praying. that is really hard, I will be asking God that he would use you in the life of that girl and other girls on that floor to bring comfort and peace.
