It's been awhile since I've spent much time with any kids other than the Bouchards, and on day one, I was struck that I don't know these boys yet. I haven't figured out their routines, or know their favorite toys, or discovered the secrets to their nonverbal communications. But, even with a bit of a learning curve, it's good to be hanging out with kids again. There's something so fun about sitting on the floor with a baby, playing with toys, making him laugh, and then having him snuggle into my lap. I loved it with my cousins in Gilbert, I loved it with the Bouchards in Tucson, and I've loved it with the Byards here in San Diego.
Children are such precious gifts!
