You were planning to stay in on Saturday night and cross-stitch while watching a movie. However, your roommates asked you to join them at the local coffee shop, and so you actually bring your cross-stitch to the coffee shop to do while they read and journal.
Actually, it ended up being a sweet time with the girls and some of their friends. Two guys brought their guitar and box drum (I'm sure there's a more technical term for it), and they played while we all chilled and did our own thing on the couches in front of the fire. Oh yes, the fire. It was actually slightly chilly here today. With the comfy ambiance, and the informal jam session, and the good coffee and good company, I felt like we were hanging out in our own living room. It was a good way to be with people, but not have to engage with them too much; something I appreciated as I am still recovering from last week. And, I got a fair amount done on the stocking on which I am working. What more could you ask for?
