As I mentioned before, I didn't have the chance to take any pictures at the wedding, but my friend Michelle was snapping away, and she got some amazing ones. I wish I could post them all here for you to see. If you're on facebook, you should look them up, because they're really quite spectacular. Here are some of my favorites...

I was sitting in the back, cuing the bridesmaids and then Ariel and her father to come down the aisle, so I didn't get to see Ryan's face when he saw her coming toward him. Fortunately, Michelle took some pictures which really convey the emotion of the moment.

I love this shot as they went to take communion. Yes, my friends, that beautiful fabric swaying in the wind is what we found when God came through for us (see post entitled "God is so Clutch").

Bryce did a great job officiating the ceremony. One of my favorite things he did was to address both sets of parents and give them both the chance to say that they support this marriage and release their son and daughter into each other's care. It was pretty sweet.

One of the coolest things about taking part in this wedding was getting to spend good time with people I love. The Bouchards played a key role with Bryce officiating and Sims and Lydie as ring bearer and flower girl, so I got to spend a little bit of time with them, which is always good for my soul.

Things would not have run nearly as smoothly if I hadn't had the assistance of one Robin Klapheke. She is wonderful. And a lifesaver. And I think someone took a picture of us smiling at some point, but I haven't yet tracked that picture down. So, apparently, this is what we looked like much of the time.

I don't know who invented the clipboard, but I pretty much think they were ingenius, and am forever indebted to them. Now, I promise that I wasn't just giving orders the entire time, but this seems to be how I was caught in action.

Poor Steven had me talking at him all night long. He took it in stride, though, and did a great job as our last-minute back-up DJ. Confession: I had a nightmare about a week before the wedding where everything was going wrong, and it culminated in Steven messing up the music on the iPod, and me having to take over and telling Ariel to stall (who does that?!) and basically ruining the whole wedding. My subconcious fears were completely unfounded, and Steven masterfully weilded the iPods, and I refrained from interrupting the ceremony to tell Ariel to stall, and, as it turns out, the wedding wasn't even sort of ruined. Whew!
The gauge of a successful wedding is whether the bride and groom end up married at the end of the day. Anything beyond that is a blessing. Well, Ryan and Ariel are officially married, and, if I do say so myself, the whole event was incredibly blessed. What fun to celebrate God bringing these two together!
