It's so surreal. Last Friday, my dear friend and precious mother-figure in my life, Heidi Hildebrand, passed away after a year-long battle with cancer.
Heidi was a teacher, and she was one of the most creative people I know. Her craft box was like Mary Poppins' bag - there was no end to the treasures you'd find inside. When I graduated from college, she made me a poster entitled "Feelings". I'm sure it came from her teacher's craft box, because she had contoured it to be "Feelings about Krista". You can click on the picture below to see it a little bigger.
Now it's my turn.
Now it's my turn.

I wish you could know how she ministered to my heart. I wish it hadn't been in God's plan to take her so early. And I wish I could see her now, in the presence of God, praising Him with even more life and joy than she had on this earth.

Krista,
I'm so sorry that such a dear friend of yours died. She sounds like an amazing woman. I can't say I fully understand how hard this can be, but praise God that you have the hope of seeing her again. love you.
