Home Runs and Wedding Bells

Well, since I've been back from Colorado for over a week now, and I still haven't finished updating you on my trip, today is just going to have to consist of a longer post. Deal with it. Wait, I mean, please bear with me as I wax eloquent on two of my favorite things to attend: baseball games and weddings.

First, a 13 inning extravaganza at Coors Field.
Now, normally as a Diamondbacks fan, you wouldn't see me cheering for the Rockies. However, since I haven't been able to keep up so well with my beloved D-Backs, and because I always love a ballpark on game day, and because it is so much more fun to root, root, root for the home team when you're at a ballpark on game day, for a few hours on that Friday evening you could find me cheering for the Rockies with the best of them. A fun time was had by all, even as it got colder and colder.
And colder.By the end of the 12th inning, Amy and I resorted to asking for Supernatural intervention to end the game. And whattaya know? The prayers of two righteous women are powerful and effective. All in all, I'm glad we stayed for the whole thing. It would've been sad to have stayed for 12 innings, and then left as they won in the 13th.

The next day brought the joining in Holy Matrimony of our two dear friends, Kurt and Heather Meister.

I wasn't in the best position to get any pictures of the ceremony, but afterwards I got several fun ones of the Nav crew in attendance.
These three beauties were in the wedding, and they looked absolutely gorgeous.
And, another dear couple headed to the altar themselves in January.
I love this picture of the beautiful, beaming bride, only moments after saying "I do".
One of my favorite parts of the reception: making faces at the wedding party, and them actually making faces back!!
God provided a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding, and I'm so excited for Kurt and Heather as they start their life together!
