Something Else About Me

There are certain things to which I will grow a keen attachment. However, this is rare. For the most part, to me, stuff is stuff. Often, I can take it or leave it. Especially when it comes to clothing items. I don't typically have a favorite pair of jeans I'll never throw away, or an old shirt that's just too comfortable to part with. But every once-in-awhile I will find some material item that for some reason or another has won my heart. An example would be my KitchenAid Mixer. Or my big white comfy chair and ottoman.

Recently, I acquired a pair of flip-flops. It's only been a couple of weeks, so it's too early to tell if they will achieve the Krista-Morrison-heart-attachment status of the aforementioned items, but they are well on their way. You see, these are not just any flip-flops. They are Chacos. The website says, "Flips offer foot cradling BioCentric™ support and 25% recycled EcoTreadoutsoles." I mean, how can you not get excited about that?! Okay, okay, I don't know much about "BioCentric" or "EcoTread", but I can tell you that they have incredible support for your arches, and quite a sturdy sole. These flip-flops will last me a long time. Maybe not 40-years-wandering-around-the-desert long, but a long time nonetheless. And, it's kind of exciting to think about how they've already taken me around the mountains of Colorado and through the desert of Tucson, and how they will take me on new adventures on the beaches of San Diego. Who knows where me and my flip-flops might end up?
Oh, and they are are pink and brown. Sooooo cute!

So, stuff is just stuff, and these are just flip-flops, but I enjoy them. I really do.

I totally understand. I have a huge devotion to my flip flops. I don't have Chacos but have heard good things. I know I love my Havianas and the comfort the provide, and love it that they've taken me so many places over the past 3 years...

:) love you
