Perks of the Job

Don't worry, I will post pictures of the wedding soon. I promise. But in the meantime, I had to share with you what is sitting in our living room right now.

On Sunday, I worked a wedding with LaVonne. Sometimes (not usually) she overbuys on the flowers. If this happens, usually she is able to add them to the ceremony altar, or the cake table or the placecard table, or something like that. But sometimes (very rarely) she cannot find a place to use them, and sometimes they get a bit brown in the waiting, and so these poor flowers find themselves headed to the dumpster. That is, until I initiate Operation Save the Flowers. OSF was in full effect on Sunday, and when I came home, I couldn't help but do this...
...and this...
...and this...
...and (my favorite) this...How sweet is it that I got to take these home? So sweet. And if you don't believe me, come hang out in our living room and inhale the sweet aroma of fresh roses. Everywhere. Am I lucky or what?

Another perk of the job? My eyes are opened to a whole new world of different flowers. Check out one of my new favorites: the cabbage rose (it's the pink one).

I'm so jealous. What beautiful arrangements...you truly were made to be a coordinator.
